Project completed: 2013

Bright living room with beige sofa, blue and beige pillows, wooden coffee table with vases and plates, woven armchair with small side table, large windows with wooden shutters, and minimalist decor on shelves.

Surin Villas was never designed to be a show house, it was composed as a way of living, imagined for a young family with children learning how to grow together in the same breath, but at different speeds.”

Interior designer's thoughts

The design is rooted in a clean Japandi language, blending Japanese minimalism with Scandinavian warmth. Natural rattan, timber furniture, and bespoke cabinetry create a soft, tactile continuity throughout the home. Spaces are kept calm and uncluttered, allowing daily family life to unfold naturally.

The living areas are generous and open, flowing into one another with quiet ease. The Master Bedroom and home office continue this restraint. Light, textures, and proportions are carefully tuned to create restfulness without excess.

In the children’s room, soft pastels bring a gentle contrast. Perpendicular bunk beds shape a shared space that balances rest, play, and growing up together.

Overall, Surin Villas is a calm, practical family home defined by warmth, simplicity, and everyday liveability.
